Parenting as Practice
With Jessica Larson | Namchak Facilitator
November 2 - 23, 2026
Join us on Monday evenings for a 4-week online course designed to bring the wisdom of Dharma into the home through navigating the daily challenges of caregiving and raising a family in modern times.
About This Course
Parenting today comes with real constraints — limited time, limited community, limited resources, and often, limited access to the kind of spiritual support that helps us feel steady rather than stretched thin. Many parents are doing the most important work of their lives with the least amount of margin.
This four-week course uses the framework of the Four Noble Truths to help parents and caregivers find more peace and ease — both in caring for themselves and in caring for their children. In this course, we’ll explore how this foundational Buddhist teaching speaks directly to the everyday reality of caregiving: the truth of struggle, its roots, the possibility of relief, and a workable path forward.
By the end of the program, participants will have a deeper understanding of where suffering comes from — and simple, sustainable tools to meet it with more steadiness, presence, and heart.
Who Is This Course Suited For?
The ideal participant is a parent or someone in a parenting role who knows the value of Buddhist practice yet feels unsure about how to apply it to care for their children and themselves effectively and compassionately. The ideal participant has young children and is seeking spiritual community support in navigating the challenges of parenthood.
