About This Month’s Dharma Talk

Karmic cause and result and the sufferings of samsara are the second set of two contemplations of the “Four Thoughts that Turn the Mind.” By contemplating them, we will see that all states of samsara (even those of the human and god realms) are states of dissatisfaction and thereby overcome any wish of remaining in samsaric existence, even the wish to take rebirth in a more fortunate state in a future life. We will also learn what kinds of thoughts and actions give rise to which states of suffering, which will encourage us to be more careful about what causes we are setting in place. Join Dorlop Choenyi Sangmo as she guides us through another precious teaching to help inspire our practice.

About One Community

Each month, we come together for an evening of learning and discussion to deepen our understanding of the dharma and our connection with sangha. Led by a Namchak teacher, thought leader, or staff member, each gathering revolves around a specific topic and lasts 90 minutes.
The session begins with a dharma talk and is followed by a Q&A with the teacher.
We invite Learning Circles, meditation buddies, and individuals to join us, and encourage you to bring friends, family, neighbors, or co-workers along to share in the experience!
