About This Month’s Dharma Talk

The mind of enlightenment has two aspects: that of aspiration and that of engagement. The aspiration is to wish to attain enlightenment to free all beings from suffering and bring them to the state of enlightenment. Then, once we have such a noble aspiration, to engage with it is to practice the six perfections. All of the practices of a bodhisattva in training are contained in the six perfections of generosity, discipline, patience, diligence, meditative concentration, and wisdom. Furthermore, all of the first five perfections are taught as methods for developing the sixth, the perfection of wisdom. For it is only wisdom that will ultimately set us free.

About One Community 

Each month, we come together for an evening of learning and discussion to deepen our understanding of the dharma and our connection with sangha. Led by a Namchak teacher, thought leader, or staff member, each gathering revolves around a specific topic and lasts 90 minutes.
The session begins with a dharma talk and is followed by a Q&A with the teacher.
We invite Learning Circles, meditation buddies, and individuals to join us, and encourage you to bring friends, family, neighbors, or co-workers along to share in the experience!
